My Take on how Indonesia is chasing Malaysia, not the other way round

I answered a question on Quora about this topic, I put my answer on Quora into my blog as well
https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Indonesia-behind-Malaysia

Many well-written answers have been provided, so I’ll just make it up here and there at some points according to my perspective

From a general point of view, I always say that it is INJUSTICE to compare Indonesia and Malaysia comprehensively, because the difference in area size and population number are very huge. However I’ll put this fact aside and continue my comments below

Yes, let’s make it clear, British are ‘better’ colonialist than Dutch. Especially in legacy. Say, education, law and political system, infrastructure, town and village facilities. I think we have many sources for this.

In Indonesia, we are VERY PROUD with the fact that we FOUGHT for our independence with flesh and blood sacrifice. Thus why some of us sort of underestimating other country’s independence which were results of ‘peaceful’ negotiation like Malaysia, India, etc.
But in retrospective, Malaysia especially gained a lot from relatively ‘smooth’ transition from colonialism and protectorates → Independence country. We just need to see one war, Surabaya 10th of November, how British troop (yes British, not Dutch, we murdered high-level British General prior to the war in October 1945) almost 100% destroyed the 2nd biggest city in Indonesia, which we remember as our National Hero Day. And we have SO MANY wars all over our huge archipelago

Survey Result of using Facebook Smileys

Remember one or two years ago when we MUST go to other websites to put smileys on our Facebook posts?
First we have to make sure the cursor is in our post/comment. Then open the external website, see the list of smileys, then click it to insert it into our Facebook post/comment.

Now it’s a legacy. Facebook has ‘installed’ the smileys onto the Facebook posts/comments, thus we can just type our post and click the smiley sign under the comment tab to pick and insert our lovely smiley into the post/comment.

Recently, Mark Zuckelberg co. had conducted a research over the use of smileys among all Facebook users. Not surprised, “Love” and “Laugh” smileys are among the forefront contestants, the mostly used. Here is the result 🙂

Rafa Benitez took Newcastle to Championship Crown 2016-2017

After completing the 46 games of 2nd tier league in English Football, Rafa Benitez successfully bring the Championship glory to Newcastle city after beating Barnsley 3-0 on the last game and at the same time a Villa player in the dying minute scored an unexpected and surprising equalizer against the previous table leader, Brighton & Howe Albion to make it 1-1 after Brighton scored earlier and a Villa player got dismissed following the Brighton penalty decision by the referee.

Me and maybe with most Newcastle fans may had rested our head and settle as 2nd in the division, because we have been promoted to English Premier League at the 1st asking three weeks ago. So anything comes in the last day we should accept it with open heart, at least we expect Newcastle won the game and Chris Hughton for all he has given to Newcastle in the past deserved the glory.

Indonesian Toll Road / Highways Projects : Cileunyi – Sumedang – Dawuan (Cisumdawu), West Java

This toll road connects Cileunyi (essentially, Bandung Megapolitan Area) with Sumedang and Dawuan in Sumedang and Majalengka districts respectively, at the Eastern side of Bandung. This project comes at a cost of breaking down the highland and cliffs between Bandung and Sumedang. A regular hell of traffic in Bandung – Cileunyi – Jatinangor – Sumedang highway, especially in Cadas Pangeran, prompt the local officials and society to make a call to the Government for this project since many many years ago.

Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame : Who Inducted Who? (List Recap of all RRHoF Inductees and who present/induct them on the ceremony)

Well you can easily get the list of inducteed artists/musicians in the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame along the years since its first inception back in 1986.

BUT don’t you wanna know who inducted and introduced them in the annual RnRHOF ceremony?
It is interesting, typically the young musician who are inspired by the inducted artist comes to the stage to pay tribute and welcome his/her/their hero into the Hall.

And to see how they introduce, praise, screams w
However it is not uncommon to have close friends of the inductee, or even ‘senior’ to induct them on the stage.

    Note :

Most of the names here (first ones) for each year fall into PERFORMER CATEGORY. Besides, we have non-performer category(producer, labels, manager, etc) – now it’s called Ahmed Ertegun Award, and early influences category (musician came from the very early as 1920-30′-40’s which predate rock’n roll)

Newcastle United Is Doing Well in Transfer – Rafa Benitez effect 2016

“Rafalution” seems to take its ride smoothly over the last one month for the recently-relegated Tyneside club, Newcastle United. 8 players are now accounted as Newcastle players after Rafa Benitez wasted no time to strength his squad and projected for a successful first-attempt to promote back to English Premier League

Hopefully those lads will settle down quickly and show what they got under their sleeves to all the Newcastle faithfuls out there 🙂

Sad to see Messi Announced his Retirement after Failure in Copa America 2017 Final

I don’t know how to say properly…but you just do not need to be Argentina fan or Barca fan to feel Messi’s sadness, broken heart, after again miserably fail to bring the trophy to the Tango’s team, to his native country Argentina.

Chile beat Argentina in Copa America 2017, again from penalty shootout. And what made it worse, Lionel Messi’s skyrocketing his penalty, far from misfortune or miskick. It is just strange to see the current best footballer on this planet converted his penalty like that.

But what matters is, the bitter sadness he felt after kicking that penalty and after Chile confirmed their title with their fifth penalty taker successfully made Romero moved the wrong way and netting the penalty. It is just horrible, beyond my reach to see Messi’s crying, and ultimately announced his retirement from national team (although many of his compatriots, including from Chile, said that his latest statement are just instant product of emotion and grieving and not to be taken seriously)

Seeing him crying, I just wish he get ONE trophy for his country, just like he did so many countless times with Blaugrana Barcelona.
