Portugal win the Euro 2016

Unfashionably, far from astonishing but Portugal show their resistance and sort of lady luck touches to be the champion of Euro 2016 in France, beating the host 1-0 in Stade de France thanks to Eder goal in extra time.

The Defensive Unit have been the main key of Portugal success over the course of the tournament, never lost any single game, and while can only win once in full 90 minutes, they proved their ambition with a somehow mediocre performance compared to other big teams like Germany, France, or Italy. Rui Patricio has been superb since the beginning, Pepe was a solid rock on the back, both have been the main players of Portugal team. Cristiano Ronaldo might not have the best tournament but his inspiring words and gestures on the final game to his teammates show that he is not only the star player of Portugal team, but he is also undeniably the ultimate Captain of the team (unlike IMO Messi in Argentina which should not be the captain)
