Perjalanan saya dari Da Nang ke Hanoi tidaklah terlalu melelahkan. Sekilas terlihat modernnya kota Da Nang ketika saya melintasinya hendak menuju bandara. Kotanya jelas terlihat berbeda dari kota-kota lain yang sebelumnya saya kunjungi. Ini seperti mirip Singapore dengan skyscrappernya.

Di dalam pesawat, saya duduk bersebelahan dengan seorang pria lokal yang sebelumnya mengira saya adalah orang Vietnam. Hal ini sudah tidak mengherankan lagi buat saya. Jika saja saya tidak mengucapkan sepatah kata apapun, pastinya orang akan berpikir saya Vietnamese dan terus saja mengajak saya bicara dengan bahasa Vietnam. Hal itu terjadi ketika saya baru masuk pintu pesawat dan seorang pramugari Vietnam langsung menyapa saya dengan bahasanya dan menyuruh saya menaruh bagasi saya di atas tempat duduk. Namun karena saya diam saja dan tak mengerti, akhirnya dia baru sadar bahwa saya bukan orang lokal.

Pria lokal yang kemudian akhirnya menjadi teman Facebook saya juga mengira hal yang sama…

North Korea vs South Korea in Asian Games 2014 Football Final

Regardless if it has been predicted or not or because both are currently the best team in Asia…whatsoever, it was North Korea vs South Korea in the penultimate football gamees in Asian Games 2014 Incheon.

Rather smoothly, the participation of North Korea on Asian Games 2014 which was held on their ‘enemy’s land’ found no serious issues at all. Kim Jong Un’s official send 150 North Korean athletes plus officers to cross the border, into the country which is technically at war with them (Both North – South only signed a truce back then, not a peace treaty). And as nothing really happen, the North Korea contingent achieved respectable results including breaking world record on lifting.

Indonesian Gold Medal Winners on Asian Games 2014 Incheon, South Korea

The Asian Games 2014 in Incheon , South Korea has just over. Indonesia finished in 17th with respectable achievement, 4 gold medals, silvers and .. bronzes.

While our county attention was shifted to the saga of RUU Pilkada and our young generation fancy turning up to Korean music, these athletes ironically success to ‘push’ our national anthem “Indonesia Raya” to be played in the land of Korea 😀
